Long WeekenD ADVENTURES.

I've known Ian for just over five years now. We studied our undergraduate Architecture degree at the University of Sydney together and have been through a helluva journey together in the last half decade. From pulling all nighters for toilet designs to attending toga-themed-parties to our weekly Macca's runs and failed surprise birthday bashes - we've been through it all. The last time we embarked on a roadtrip to Canberra the car broke down and Ian's parents had to come to the rescue. We also decided to make a spontaneous trip to the Hunter Valley this time three years ago only to arrive to closed wineries and cafes. What we did manage to catch was a short glimmer of golden hour in which we managed to capture some of the most sublime images of endless wheat fields.

I can't help but laugh at all the rather misfortunate encounters we seem to experience together on all our adventures. But I guess to a certain extent it's these little humbling moments and challenges, which in hindsight seem to be some of my fondest memories.

It's strange to think that we were both students once and now we're working adults. The mere thought of my friends being trained professionals freaks me out at times. I can't believe how quickly time has flown by! Durian, thank you for all that you do for all of us and for doing it from the kindness of your heart and not because you want or expect something in return. You've been an incredible mentor, brother and friend to me and I am forever grateful for everything you've helped me through. Looking forward to the next decade of manic mischief slash semi-failed roadtrips :P!
