The Hermès On The Beach event in Sydney’s Carriageworks this year was without a doubt one of the best events I have ever attended. The raw and rustic textures of Carriageworks was the backdrop into a private beach party.

I remember glancing at the invite and noticed that the dress attire for the evening was stated as 'barefoot.' I was curious as to what Hermès had up their sleeves to this years grand beach event.

Dressed by Manning Cartel with a fitting Hermès bracelet to complete my outfit, the shoe concierge greeted me upon my arrival and kept my shoes safe and sound for me as I walked through a colourful graphic passageway before entering the main room greeted by whimsical art installations—floating inflatable seahorses, waiters dressed in vintage t-shirts, and a DJ situated on a diving board! The night truly left me in complete awe.

I was transported into a world of organised chaos and I can say that with complete confidence this event will be a hard one to top! What an absolutely perfect start to the year.

Bravo Hermès. You did it, once again ;)!

Breakfast with a View

Located near the Kirribilli Wharf ferry is Celsius Coffee & Co. I was delighted when my beautiful friend Tara, invited me to dine here and catch up after her travels from India.

Perched on the edge of the calming waters is this cute little cafe with tasty food to match the spectacular view. Every item which appears on the menu is so tempting, it's hard not to over order when dining here. The combination of sweet and savoury choices with a strong focus on presentation leaves you in complete awe.

The staff are so friendly and you really get a chance to take in your surroundings. I would highly recommend ordering the coconut milk chia pudding and waffles! The plating is delicate and attentive, we couldn't resist taking a thousand photos. Celsius Coffee & Co is also home of the mushroom toastie in Sydney in my humble opinion.  With fresh juices, great coffee, breathtaking view and lovely ambience, who wouldn't fall love with this cafe?

Certainly worth the visit on a weekend!

I truly love discovering beautiful hidden gems in Sydney. Being creatures of habit after a long week of work - one tends to eat at the usual local diner, order the regular cocktail and hang out at the same pub on the corner. We don't like to be disappointed so we stick to what we know so we play it safe. I made a conscious decision this year to explore more of Sydney - eat at places which were unfamiliar, visit art galleries and exhibitions, and familiarise myself with this place I now call home.

Often we travel - to get away from the familiar. But in doing so we forget the cute and charismatic charm of the city which we're from. I stumbled across this bar when walking past the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour. It's tucked away from the streets. With luscious vegetation hanging from the ceiling, a fit out of pink and green armchairs, the bar gets its inspiration from Cuban plantation architecture and the Miami of the 1950s. With an incredible view of Circular Quay, looking out at the harbour, the city's newest hotel bar offers tropical cocktails and delicious nibbles with a strong focus on Latin American flavours. I'd highly recommend the chicken sliders, waffle fries and pork neck!

So if you're keen for a good meal and a round of tasty cocktails, Hacienda is definitely the place to be! Get to know your city a little more and don't be afraid to visit that new bar or eat somewhere you haven't eaten before!
